Have you sought out counseling for this?

I had something similar brought about by a mean spirited mother. Caused crippling low self esteem that culminated into similar situations as you describe.

Indecision is a killer. It will make your life miserable. I'm sure you know this.

The only way to overcome indecisiveness is to make a decision.
I'm not being a smart a--. It's true.

Trust me. No decision you make in life is ever wrong. You will *learn* from any decision you make. You will grow as a result of your decisions...wise or unwise.

You're far better off making an 'unwise' decision than making no decision.

So go ahead and decide! Start with small things, like what to have for dinner, what to wear to work, smoke or not, drink or not, which movie to go see. You get the idea.

Good Luck.

I have been feeling the same thing for a long time. I cannot even decided what I want to eat or where to go to get it sometimes, like if I am out on the road.. I just keep mulling it around in my head and finally after all that thinking about NOTHING, I decide. I guess from here on out, I just have to make a decision and go with it and see how it feels. We just gotta DO IT. I made a decision to quit my job after 20 years-that was easy!!!!It seems with me the bigger decisions are easier than the day to day ones. This question has made me think and I am going to try to do better in that aspect. Good luck to you too!

You're anxiety disorder seems to be impeding your daily life. You've probably been advised by your therapist on how to manage and control your anxieties. Remember to go through these guidelines given to you, or speak to someone that may help you to rationalise this situation and provide you with the strength you need to relieve this unnecessary pressure.

Take care.
