Set aside the Bible and consider other issues of what make anyone a true Christian, they:
Believe in obeying the law, even the inconvenient ones, such as speed limits when late for work;
Believe in paying taxes, even though there are many ways they could avoid them;
Believe in keeping their word, and not giving it if that don’t plan on keeping it;
They teach their children that waiting until marriage is preferable to using protection, and for the most part, the children actually believe it....Yes, there is the occasional ones who would rather have their fun now than wait, but most choose to wait;
Treat their children with respect, by being a good example of a good Christian, and not just tell them "do what you're told!";
Teach their children the Bible as a whole, and not just Bible stories....The very young may not understand what they are being taught, but by the time you reach the age of understanding, they have a good basic knowledge of the scriptures;
Attend churches that are not so large that the individual gets lost in the crowd;
Can answer the following question without just referring to a secular holiday in May:
WHAT DAY DO YOU OBSERVE THE MEMORIAL ON?

Someone who knows Christ as their personal savior, by inviting Him into their heart. And then trying their best to live according to His Word--the Bible. Not so they can BE saved, but because they are ALREADY saved. When they fail, (and they will) they confess their sin (1john1:9) and start again following Him, TRUSTING that "...He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus(Philippians 1:6). THAT my friend is a "devout" christian according to the Bible.----theBerean

I'm sorry, but I think people who aren't devout Christians shouldn't call themselves Christians... Christ didn't stop halfway and have a break...
I believe in Jesus and God, but I wouldn't call myself a Christian because I would be giving Christ a bad name. Instead I simply say I believe.

The one who given up everything for the sake of God, and follows Jesus foot-steps. God gave his only Son (JESUS) and let Jesus sacrificed his life for mankind. Who ever pleased by the God, and receive His love, blessings, His promise , Salvation, welcome to Heaven and being with Jesus. Going to daily Church, reading Bible, daily prayers, and among rest not realy countable to become devout Christian. Most of are people are thinking just because they're blessed.(Rich) doing god's work in anther way, their'e good christaians and blessed by God. Wealth doesn't compare to god as a blessing. What you sower and reap. We'll got to reap, reveive Kindom of God, Not blessings to live in luxuries. If anybody wants to become a devoute christian, God wants the person to leave everything and Love another as God loves each one of us, like god sacrifice His own Son (JESUS).Ex. Job : He lost everything.but, He didn.t lost God.
