Call me a cynic, but I do not believe that "If everyone cared and nobody cried/If everyone loved and nobody lied/If everyone shared and swallowed their pride/Then we'd see the day when nobody died"

People are going to go through hardships and die whether people care or not. But, it is a feel-good song with a nice, though untrue sentiment.
