Anyone who thinks Christians won't go to war with each other to control natural resources should learn some European history.

If those countries were Christian, and America was Christian as well, no we would not be at war.
So far as this alleged war on oil is concerned, we could put that to an early end, if this was all it was about. We the people wield an amazing amount of power. If we don't buy, then the price foes down. If we don't buy enough, then where we get it from changes. I think we the people need to stop relying on the government so much and rely on ourselves. What can we do to put more control in our hands? If we don't, then why complain about what the government is doing.

It's not just that the countries need to be a different religion that doesn't encourage slaughtering other people, they need to be free, strong and thriving democracies.

Look at Europe and North America.

No wars for a long time.

Says something about democracies, doesn't it?

Great question! I am of the opinion that no, there would not. "The new Iraqi government", according to GWB in his last State of the Union address, "has agreed to share its oil revenues with us [the United States]. That pretty much sums it up. If it was about combating Islam, they'd be stamping it out on their own turf, and so would Britain.

It's not war 'on' oil; it's war 'about' oil - huge difference. To answer the question, probably not; there'd just be even more oppressed Muslims. What do you think?

yes, need for natural resources transcends religious beliefs. christians have been killing each other for a long time, war is not limited to fighting other religions, families, countries etc. people will fight and kill people of same beliefs, culture, family etc when it benefits them
