Faith is a gift - it's not something you can earn or win, and it certainly isn't something we deserve. Faith comes from God, who grants it to those who earnestly seek Him. That's why faith is so precious.
Faith in God, in Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit is what gives my life purpose and meaning. I can be confident that although we seem powerless to stop evil, injustice, cruelty and wars, etc., God, in His almighty wisdom and perfect justice, will put an end to such things and has put into action a plan to save mankind. I know that I am loved by my Heavenly Father and that I can take all my cares and worries to Him in prayer, through Jesus Christ. My faith enables me to trust in God, and not in my own strength. When I am weak, and fail, I look to God to show me the way and I know that any prayer that is in harmony with His will, shall be answered. My faith enables me to carry on, even through the darkest moments. My faith in God and his plan for salvation through Jesus Christ and the workings of His Holy Spirit mean more to me than life itself, because life without faith is but a poor shadow of the reality that is to come.

How silly am I to believe in a God I cannot see, to hear a God I cannot physically touch, to worship a God who corrects my ways and to know one day I will meet him and know all the hurts I have caused intentionally and unintentionally!
In the parable of the sower Jesus says "To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but those who are outside get everything in parables, so that WHILE SEEING, THEY MAY SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE, AND WHILE HEARING, THEY MAY HEAR AND NOT UNDERSTAND, OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT RETURN AND BE FORGIVEN."

All I know is that my prayers have always been answered. Not always when I want them to be of course, but God/Christ has always watched over me and guided me. I try to remember Him in all things and pray every day. He gives me inner peace and strength to cope when times are tough. My faith seriously kicked in when I was about 16, I had an awful experience where I was almost raped. I tried to fight off my attacker but he was too strong. Just when I had given up hope, I heard His voice in my head telling me to call on him for help. As soon as I did, praying in my head, my attacker just stopped and burst into tears! So I believe in God who is my father and wants the best for me. I believe in Christ who is my saviour and understands my human weakness and helps me when I need help, and I believe in the Holy Spirit who gives me inner peace and comfort. Hope that helps.

i dont believe in God per se. i cant honestly agree that theres an omnipresent spiritual mass if u like to call it watching us at all times. i think i culd be best described as a christian atheist. i lead my life according to the ten commandments but as for God and miracles etc, just done add up. i think there was a man called Jesus Christ who went about healing the sick and trying to get people to love and respect each other but, there were many so called prophets at that time. the question of heaven and meeting up again in another life, to me, sounds ridiculous. ...its just another way of the church manipulating sad and lonely and sick people, encouraging them to hand over their money...almost every church sermon ive been to, they have taken an "offering" or expected me to "tythe" ten percent of my earnings. its a big business and theres a lot of money to be made.
