well, i've liked this same guy for 4 1/2 years now, and he has never liked me back. Should i chase after him? i can't give up on him; he's my whole world. I'm just so confused....

It is a form of obsession because you don't have real life experiences to justify carrying a torch for such a long time. Kind of like a magic dream you dream to keep you caught up in your head thinking there is some kind of hope.
I am sympathetic because I know how hard it is to give up on what you believe is 'the one.' But trust me: if he were the one for you, it would be working out in your favor.
Don't chase him. Don't do anything about him.
I know it's hard, but you have to try and meet someone you can have a real life love affair with! And you will when you realize that you made this "wonderful" guy up in your head. If you got him he'd end up NOT being the perfect man for you. I promise.
Ask God to help you and try to move on.

You cannot make someone interested if they're not. I'm afraid you may have to accept that it will never be, despite the strength of your feelings. Sometimes even though we Love someone we may have to accept we can't be with them for whatever reason. I'm guessing you're relatively young so try to think of this as a kind of practise run because there will be someone who will Love you back equally but you have to be available and looking for him. It will hurt for a while but it would seem time to give up on this guy.

If hes not attracted to you physically or mentally you are wasting you time; but go head and chase him you don't lose anything by trying just don't act desperate because that might scare him away.

dont waste your time if he never like you for so many years then accept it just be offen minded and forget it.. you will be more happy if you see another guy that u love and he love you too give your self time for other good luck
