I think my girlfriend loves me beyond a shadow of a doubt. She tells me I need to be “possessive.” I am like what? She says that I am not jealous enough and that I need to be possessive. I am wondering if this is a red flag.

Love is far away from the term of "possessiveness", it is a elevated feeling that guarantee freedom, care and absolute attention. As for jealousy, it can spice up your life but be careful... too much spices is bad for health!

Some chicks are insecure and want to see you get jealous over them. If you ask me, its a bad game and I would treat it as a red flag. Next thing you know, she will be saying you are too possessive and don't trust her, then she'll cheat on you anyhow.

LOL, sometimes women come up with the most strange statements. Get a roll of duct tape or maybe some scarfs and tie her up in bed nekkid and very vulnerable and then ask her if this is being possessive enough.

Sorry but that sounds a bit strange. No woman I know wants a possesive partner. Maybe by wanting you to be jealous, she just wants reassurance that you love her but being possessive and jealous is not the way to go

it depends on how possessive you are. like you are saying yeah go out with other guys i dont care that is kind of a sign that you are not that interested in her.

Yikes, she could be talking about herself and what she is doing to you.
RED FLAG: she's trying to tell you that you are not watching her close enough, there could be something going on there.....and your blinded, perhaps your too busy to catch it.
