Superman doesn't exist but yet he is admired for his courage and good morals in standing up to evil. Even if God is fiction, does he still embody all of the characteristics that we shall live by? I think more important than whether God exist or not, the more important thing to ask is whether we love him or not? I see people all of the time loving fictional superheroes. By the way I am agnostic however I believe God both exist and doesn't exist.

God does exist....Jesus! He lived a completely sinless life. Jesus was the human form of God (minus the sin). He died on the cross to pay for all our sins, past, present, and future. Comparing God to an action figure or Superman is like comparing a piece of sand to two oceans.

You bring up an excellent point, and I couldn't agree more.

Although I don't beleive in god, the image of a god gives people hope and courage to continue through life. Why wouldn't you like that?

No. First of all, I don't believe in the Judeo-Christian god, and second, any way you slice it, Jehovah's somewhat of a dick. I mean, he's blighting crops, turning water into blood, and then demanding blood sacrifices, and asking people to live up to impossible standards. It's insane.
