Whenever I've heard it used, it's not used as a romantic love, and is used to differentiate. When I'm with a group of friends, I'll tell my fiance that I love him, my good female friends that I love them, and my not so good female friends, and guy friends that I heart them. It's like a different level of love for me, same as when some people write luv.. it's a different level, not to be mistaken for ' i want to jump your bones'

Pyschology 101 its not admitting the truth because its avoiding the fact that it could be true but part of you want to admitt and part of doesn't. So getting out of saying how you feel is alot easier by avoidance than taking on your feelings like they are going to runaway if you don't deal with them when you start to feel them. Strong feelings to some people are scarry and depending on how you were brought up as a child reflects how you do things as an adult.

i have never heard anyone say "i heart you" it is only seen as "<3" on people's profiles, maybe that is the pretty way to express how one really feels.

well-----sometimes I think people are too eager to say 'I Love You"----and it seems like it tends to be used a bit prematurely------get to know the person better before you push for this statement---------you can enjoy and really dig being with someone ----yet --
-just not yet sure if you desire a committment.

Who cares! I'd know if I HEARD that stupid/cheesy 3 word liner from someone, I'd know that's all the reason to just find someone else who can just say, I hate you.
