Why would they set themselves up for failure? I think they watch too many BET music videos, and live in bad neighborhoods that really don't give them any options - or maybe their parents are just stupid, irresponsible, and even on drugs too.

They think it makes them cool, drinking/drugs and doing destructive things, all the things that their parents don't want them to be doing. Their living in the moment which they don't see as being stupid at all, they think that they are in love......
The bad boys drag them down into the gutter with them they don't care what happens to the girls as it's all about their own fun.
These girls don't or won't know what's up until it's too late and they are totally down (jail/prison) along with the guys that took them there.
I saw this first hand as a correctional officer. Many of these guys ratted on their own girlfriends just to be able to get their own sentences reduced. Since the girls didn't have any one to give up they got they higher sentences, it's horrible thing to see.
Most of these girls are a very young 18 yrs old, very immature an
naive. They either have no self esteem or it is very low. I saw a lot of these girls getting sentenced to years for what the bad boy got them into. There is nothing quite as sad as seeing an 18 year old girl come back from court and hearing that she received a 30 year sentence. That was federal time, so they do 85 % of the 30 years
Yes, I think a lot of the parents are at fault as well. Parents need to know who their children are hanging out with, where they are and what they are doing. If a parent doesn't know these basic things then they are not much of a parent.
And yes some of their parents do drugs them self, some times you see the mother, daughters and even aunts all locked up on the same unit. The fathers and some times brothers on another unit, so basically the entire familys doing time.

Women are always attracted to the bad boys out there, I had
a drug dealer ask me out the other day, this is what I told him
"The next time you see that really big Policeman, you know the
one with a gun and badge and stuff, get his number, because
I want to bonk him all night for arresting you...............................!!"
Some women are attracted to criminals and some to GOOD
guys, some to Policemen, it is a matter of taste really, but the
bad taste getting arrested with some criminal dirtbag can be
an everlasting one when you end up in jail with him as well.........
I would rather bonk a nice sexy Policeman rather then some
gangster or drug dealing thug anyday...........................................

Girls like the bad boys sometimes. Oddly enough....they wanna be the one to tame that bad boy. They think they can change him. They usually find out that they can't. I know...I have talked to enough of these girl after arresting the "bad boys".
