It might be the shampoo. Are you using a lot? And how much conditioner are you using? Try leaving your conditioner in a little longer. So wash your hair first thing when you get in the shower, and leave your conditioner in while you do everything else, and rinse it out just before you get out.
You could also try a hair repair conditioning mask. Garnier Fructis has a few really nice ones.
Also, are you using the right shampoo? Are you using shampoo for dry/brittle hair? Or are you using a different kind of shampoo?
If you're not happy with the brand, I recommend Garnier Fructis, particularly the nutri-oil repair, if your hair lacks natural oils. Also, I use Tresemme. It's really nice. Your hair feels so smooth afterwards.

I rotated my shampoos from month to month -
give your hair a vacation!

I like Garnier Fructis - if you are in the usa and a Walgreens is near-

there is a coupon for a "free" bottle up to $6.99 - when you mail in the rebate for February ! (any 'flavor')

and there are other great savings - I got $30 last month

and IF you have a Walgreens gift card and have it put there -
they give a 10% premium on top the rebate - so I got paid (after taxes) $.21 to get it

best of luck!
