When will muslims realise that the religion of their ancestors was Shivaism or vaisnavism?

U R right but they went a lot on their way to realize what was they they dont know about their forefathers at all. Not only the muslims even the christians in INDIA is only the HINDUS as there forefathers are only HINDUS.

I would only like to add that even if the people who later became Muslims were Idol-worshippers at some time, they did recieve Guidance from the Lord Most Merciful. There souls were saved.

My sincere advice to you is to go back and learn your own
scriptures,The Vedas, The Puranas,and the Bhagwat gita
where you will learn that the concepts that you mentioned
do not exist.Even Hindu is a only a geographical identity
given to the people of India.People have a misconception
that Islam emerged with the advent of the prophet[ peace
and blessings be on him ]but rather Islam is the religion
of almighty God,Islam is an arabic word that means to
submit. or subject ones self to the will of God and it was

The question has been misunderstood by many.
The forefathers of the present Muslims were Saivaites or Vaishnavaites a few generations back. They have been forcibly converted to Islam by invaders.Should they not understand if not accept their forefathers religion.
Coming to the religions, all the religions preach the same,love every religion having their own way to the same goal..Then why should we be fighting to force one's opinion on others.

When & how did you peek into the past? Where did you get to know this from? I am born of a Hindu and a Muslim, and I have never come across anything silly like this in either of the holy scriptures.

if that is the case, Christiana's ancestors were Jews.Hindus ancestors were Aryans. except Buddhism, all the major religions forcefully converted people of other religions. there were blood baths between Aryans and dravidians and between shivites and vaishnavites and several Buddhist araamas were demolished and temples of Shiva were built.
