The Hawaiians worship her, it is said that she is beautifull. Do you kinda believe it?

I remember my mother telling me to get Pele's permission to take these really neat rocks near the volcano when I was young. I thought it was really weird because she insisted and I ended up not asking because it made me feel uncomfortable.

The Hawaiians said many things about Pele. She can change forms - from an old woman into a beautiful young maiden. She is also a very jealous, whimsical and easily angered goddess. I don't think the Hawaiians worshipped her as much as the other gods, Ku, Kane, Kanaloa and Lono, but she was respected to some extent because of her power.

People say they've seen her. I believe in spirits and I guess there could be a spirit(s) attatched to that volcano, but I think it's improper to worship Pele.

There was something about it on a Tori Amos album, "Boys for Pele". Whew! Been a long time since I listened to her and I don't really miss it. I am listening to Fiona Apple's 'Extraordinary Machine'.

I have no feelings one way or the other; she's not in the pantheon of Gods and Goddesses I worship. That doesn't mean I deny her existence though.

Pele will burn. Remember: "If you play with fire, you just might get burned." But I don't believe in such god/goddess anyway.
