I have a different question to ask
is having a huge population a bad thing? I read some where Mr. Tata telling Mr. Nehru that we should do something to prevent the population Growth as this is our greatest weakness and the answer of Mr. Nehru was very simple our population is our strength.
I my opinion having a huge population is not the problem of India but our inability to properly utilise the man power is our problem
I definitely am not in favour of producing a lot of children and sending them to streets to beg but I personally belong to a family of 6 siblings but has never used this as an excuse when it comes to achieving my goals

Definetely we can fight with population which is really a serious problem in aur country and it has been so currupted from all the side to get in butttttttttt if we need to rectify , according to me we all should follow these steps.........

1. start sharing the danger effects of pollution when it will be spread into a no end.
2.approaching to all the internally regions where the iliteracy rate much higher and make them understand
3. make a strict law for all the levels, if not accepted then there should be a penalty charges

Modern ideas and practices:
An important example of mandated population control is China's one-child policy, in which having more than one child is made extremely unattractive. This has led to allegations that practices like infanticide, forced abortions and forced sterilization are used to meet the goals of the policy. However, while the punishment of "Unplanned" pregnancy is a fine, both forced abortion and forced sterilization can be charged with intentional assault, which is punished with up to 10 years' imprisonment.

Given the nature of human reproductive biology, controlling the birth rate generally implies one of the following practices:

* sexual abstinence
* contraception
* same-sex relations
* sterilization
* abortion
* infanticide
* Birth control

It's a little bit late for you. Pretty soon, your people are going to be pooring into the bit cities looking for work and squatting in the streets, or you're going to be migrating out of the country.

(Hey, I have an idea. Iran is abusing their right to own land and breathe air, you can have theirs when we're finished! In fact, I think America trusts India with nuclear power and nuclear weapons. You already have both. Would save us a lot of trouble if you think about it.)

You can't and it isn't our responsible to either.
India has 1billion China has 1.3 billion. The USA will have 1/2 billion before 2075. USA has a much higher rate of growth then both India or China. That is going to be a much bigger problem.
75% is do to immigration 85% are poor and uneducated.

population growth had been a burning problem since ages.
from times, there has alwayz been increase but there was no decreas.this is of cuz....the unexpected result.
in other words...........itz now toooo lated to think of population control.
now...the point is how to spread this population.
every year............tonnes of people had been migration from india.........but this did'nt help either!

now the problem........is dat there is no sufficient place for man.
for this he is reducin the area of forests.......and all.
accordin 2 da reports........there should be a minimun of 33% trees in a country to promote ecological balance.
but wheras in india........there is only 20.3%
wich is very thought-provoking!
if...the population grows uncontrollably........the results are sure to be dangerous and disastrous!

heavy population decrease problem, because more scientist more technology, more and more projects that simultaneously increases by increasing the population and look it back till date, we are not suffering, but we are far better advanced in all level by increase of population. However there is a optical illusion to think the way you asked! just forget it.

I wish I could adopt an child from India to live with my wife and I in the states as we are 55 and 62. we could show this child so much love and help him or her to get educated, i would not force my relegion on them and raise them to speak their native tongue, culture, and relegion. My wife even cooks the Indian cuisine.
I would gladly make this offer to any child of any color in the world as this would make our lives so complete. I tried to get my wifes brother child after he died at fifty one but the Philippine Gov't would not allow the child to leave if they have a living parent..my brother in law before he died tried to set this up but he did not know he was going to die...such a pity as we would have given this child a good education and he could have helped his mom and his brothers and sisters back in the Philippines.
Here in American the citizens get mad if you kick a squirell in the park. Just think what poverty has done for the living conditions of these children? Even in the USA not far from where most of us lives are old people and young people feel the effects of poverty.
