The best software to use is Adobe Photoshop.

Your original photo should be in colour so that it would be easier to maintain on object in colour. The first thing you need to do is select the image you want to leave in color then inverse the whole selection and adjust it using "hue and saturation". You have to lessen the saturation of the image to get the b/w effect.

Adobe Photoshop

just open the colored picture in it,
press ctrl+shift+u...this will desaturate ur pic
then select history brush tool from the toolbar at the left side
set the brush options from the upper toolbar
move the brush on the area u want to be colored

Enjoy!!

test. There could be an greater straightforward way obtainable, yet that's how i know how I do it with Photoshop. Take your image and make a replica image below the "image" toolbar. bypass "image" to "mode" to "Grayscale" this could make it black and white. you need to to alter the brightness and assessment at this element. elect all the black and white image, replica it and previous it onto the different image. you like snap to be on below the 'view.' this could be certain the photos are quickly on miraculous of the different. then you definately can erase the miraculous layer, leaving purely one section b/w. bypass to 'layer' and flatten the image. keep it as a jpeg.
