The ultimate sandwich is two pieces of bread, some turkey or ham, some salsa, some zesty italian dressing, and ruffles potato chips in the sandwich. Seriously its dankorific!

I am partial to two. First would be an Italian Beef sandwich with giardiniera dipped in the Au jus.
Second would be the Thanksgiving sandwich.
homemade bread usually rye
turkey
stuffing
cranberry sauce
miracle whip

I'm a vegetarian, but I like a lot of flavor, so when I have time I build 'em like this:
2 kinds of cheese
lettuce
pickle
onion
tomato
slice of avocado
a dash of oil & vinegar
peperoncini pepper on the side
whole wheat bread with lite mayo and dark mustard

I do love fried egg sandwhiches with hot tomatoes. So good! When you cut the sandwhich down the middle the yolk breaks and runs everywhere. Great!
I also really like coleslaw sandwhiches, but they have to be eaten straight away to prevent soggy bread.

Hot, it's crusty white bread, with extra lean short back bacon grilled, best butchers style sausages and grilled tomato with brown sauce.
OR Thin slices of minute steak and fried onions
Or hot roast pork, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling and apple sauce............
Cold, it's crusty white bread again, with thin sliced roast beef, lettuce cucumber, sliced vine tomatoes and onion with horseradish sauce
or a nice mature cheddar with onion.....or honey roast ham and vine tomatoes.....or chicken with lemon and tarragon mayo......
starving now!!

It's a matter of taste and how filling a sandwich is. Yours is good choice for you. Mine could be from a tuna to a bacon butty.
