Actually this is a serious question. Christians should consider this seriously also. By mentally ill I am refering more to the harmfull ones. Certianly not born handicapped etc. I have seriously asked this question to others, and while I was a christian. I dont imply either one to be more succeptable, in my question. Its one that should be treated seriously.

Simply put most mentally ill people cannot hide easily anywhere. If one studies Serial killers, you will find the disorganized ones suffer from all sorts of Dementia. Some screaming that God told them to rid the world of evil, some saying that Satan was directing them. Others have used everything from hearing voices, to one that stated the only way he could save the world from environmental catastrophe was to constantly give the Earth fresh blood.
Mentally ill people will find it easier to find people to follow them among those who want to believe in God, but want out of this life. Those people are not truly Christians, just co dependents looking for someone to depend on!
In response to J B - I worked in a jail for a few years and found that most inmates believed in God only while they were incarcerated, and forget all about him when free. The reasons extend to;
A. Fooling the Psychiatrist when parole hearings come about. Trying to show that they have found God and changed. You would be surprised how often that works for them.
B. When humans are in a seemingly hopeless situation that they feel there is no humanly fix, many look for supernatural help.
C. Christians are more likely to give another chance to someone that does not deserve it, as they feel it is the Christian way to forgive those that trespass against them. Inmates and career criminals are masters of psychology themselves and will find your weakness quickly.

Whatever our philosophy of life is, why should these poor people more easily hide in one group than in the other?
Rather, I hope that everybody is interested in giving those who suffer from mental afflictions the proper 'honor' and respectful treatment they deserve.
Instead of helping people to hide, family members, friends, and associates should look out for those who are ill in this manner and help them get proper help.
From my experience, a person's philosophy of life doesn't affect how nice, how intelligent, or how blind to his surroundings he might be.

I watched a movie about Angola prison (highest security in the nation) that suggested over 95% of people in there (all life in prison or death penalty) are strong believers and attend church more than once a week. Also, every time I see a crazy person on TV they are screaming to God about some unbelievable crap.
My answer would be definitely 100% Christians.

I don't know. It's probably easy for the mentally ill either way.
But based on what I've heard...
a. murders tend to study the bible very religiously.
b. cults, especially those that dabble in the sacrifices of their members.
Like I said, it's about equal.

I think that was uncalled for, and I refuse to answer it on the grounds that I may incriminate myself, and because I refuse to Judge people by their disabilities, but that wasn't very nice of you.Hmm and I thought you were always polite and fair well we can all be wrong at times, I guess.

Both and neither. True mental illness eventually shows itself. I am assuming you mean destructive mental illness..or it wouldn't be "hiding"..... like borderline personality disorders.

I think it has become evident that they are hiding among the Republican party .
Or that which is now known as the GOP "GAY OL PARTY.
We've got one of them running this country now!
