It only started about 3 weeks ago. After he is done meowing he cuddles up but before that he doesnt want to be messed with. I know most cats are not very personable but I just want to make sure nothing is wrong with him.

well cats are very moody. sometimes they are attention seekers but when we give it to them, they don't want to be touched. better get rid of it!!! cats are not good. choose dogs their more gracious and friendly

My cat recently started meowing alot also. He is a little over a year old now. He starts as soon as I get home from work and stops about an hour later. I've done some research online and have finally decided that my cat is just a talker. He is mixed with Siamese and apparently they can be very vocal.

I would say if it's a normal meow and it doesn't sound any different than before (for example lower in pitch) then there is probably nothing serious wrong.

Enjoy your talking cat.

Cats are interesting animals for sure, I have two cats my self and one of them simple refuse to have anything to do with me when I come back home after I have left her, I can't even touch her so I have to wait on her own terms when she is ready to come to me..I think it is just her way of showing her disapproval of me leaving her behind.

I think that 2kats is right on the money. Your cat is just letting you know that it doesn't appreciate being left at home alone all day.

it sound like he is telling you he does not like to be left alone. Have you tried leaving the radio on for him or have a old alarm clock out that ticks and put it in a place he will find it he just mite be board and happy to see you

i had a cat that would greet me as soon as i got home and would jst talk for days. and when i said,"really?? no way!" she seemed to understand and would continue to meow.

it's jst his way of trying to talk to you since you are his owner. It's like a child telling you about the day they had.
