It depends on your hair texture, I use coconut oil on my daughter hair, she has thick,naturally curly hair and it works good for her hair. I also use it for myself sometime, but it is kind of thick and it can weigh your hair down depending on the style.

If your hair is not very thick then its not a good idea, as coconut oil is pretty thick to sit on fine hair. But if your hair needs to be tamed then use sparingly.

They sell scented coconut oil in Tahiti, it's used as a hair product! it's a wonderful conditoner and hair tamer. monoi oil any oil you put in your hair will conditon it.

The main ingredient in coconut oil is petroleum jelly(Vaseline).It works,but it makes your hair very greasy.
