Strictly speaking, a date is a social function--ie, go bowling, take
in a movie, have lunch or dinner, go visit a museum, or just take
a walk in a park or on the beach. ONLY a whore would say that
a date would include sex!! Two guys, two gals, or even a
group of three or four can have a date together. The purpose of
dating is to become more acquainted with the person you're with,
to see (find out) if this is someone you'd like to spend more time
with--possibly the rest of your life.

Then it wouldn't be a date as most people view it. The out side of church world, a date is when you have sex.. In church you would not have sex till you are married. You need to watch what you call it or people will get the wrong Idea of you.You should never be alone with the opposite sex if you are true to your faith.. You should be with a chaperon at all times. Set up an outing with the person you care about and have a chaperon with you. Every one knows then it is a date as you have informed the person you are with that you have a chaperon with you. It must be clear it isn't a friend with you it is a chaperon..Enjoy learning if this is the one for you to marry.
