Looking at putting the "Fun" back into "Fund-raising" ... as I am doing this on a regional, national and International basis and running out of ideas!! Can you help me with some, that maybe I have not thought about yet?? Remember.. it has to be "Fun".. so that people of all ages can help to "Serve Others" in need for worthy causes. Thank you for your time and have a great day.....

It depends on the charity you are working for, you can make it somehow related to it. For example our charity helps Kenya so we are doing a "Safari day" for kids at the local Zoo.
5Ks or Walk-a-Thons are very popular but are a lot of fun, I must admit.
I always think of somehow getting kids involve, they love fundraising, most of the time are more caring and compassionate than adults, and they definitely make it fun!
Good luck!

well, 1st of all fund-raising with fun can't b fun for everybody. u have to see what the majority of the crowd constitutes
so, if u r gatherin teens or mid-life ppl (18-25 years) u could have somethin like a concert by the local band. u can promise them no money, but popularity. And 4 all ages, u can bingo, that's the most i could spread out, lol.
and u could have some light, soothin music, if it's a mature lot. and u could arrange some kind of marathon.

you could try a little carnival thing with games like pie the teacher where kids pay so much to get a pie(doesnt have to be a real one put some squirty cream in a tin dish) and see if they can get the teacher, a raffle, get some local shops/people to donate some food e.g. burgers rolls etc and sell burgers at it ask people to donate unwanted stuff that is in reasonable condition and set up stalls to sell the stuff talent contest good luck

If 10% of the average $907 that Americans spent on Christmas gifts went to children in need, 42 million children could be helped for an entire year according to statistics provided to me during an interview with World Vision.

This year, I conducted an experiment, and asked for donations to World Vision and Heifer.org instead of Christmas gifts. Many folks simply chose to give me gifts anyway, but many did make donations instead, resulting in $137 going to these charities.

I also have a website where I sell art to support these two Christian organizations. The next time you need art for your walls, please consider my website. My personal favorite of my own work is Sunset over Florence12. Recently my aunt (an amateur photographer) and a friend have donated some of their work for this charitable cause, as well. If you know artists who might wish to join this charity model, please send them my way.

There is a set of 6 world maps on my art for charity website that represents the state of our world in terms of poverty, hunger, disease, education availability of electricity and longevity. You can get a full sized copy for your office or child from my website.

Go to www.benevon.com. Instead of being "fun" and costly, they have events that are inexpensive and meaningful, where people really understand what the charity does and why they should support it. Then most of the money goes to the charity, not the event.

Have an outdoor carnival with booths and activities. Most rec departments have stages that you can use. Enlist groups to run the activities and booths.
