I mean, Im only 21 and shes only 19 and we aren't planning on getting married yet so why doesn't she understand that I want to save myself until marriage?

1. A study of 2,746 women in the National Survey of Family Growth performed by Dr. Kahn of the University of Maryland and Dr. London of the National Center for Health Statistics found that nonvirgin brides increase their odds of divorce by about 60%.
2.Premarital sexual attitudes and behavior do not change after one marries; if a woman lives with a man before marriage, she is more likely to cheat on him after marriage. Research indicates that if one is willing to experience sex before marriage, a higher level of probability exists that one will do the same afterwards. This is especially true for women; those who engaged in sex before marriage are more than twice as likely to have extramarital affairs as those who did not have premarital sex. When it comes to staying faithful, married partners have higher rates of loyalty every time. One study, done over a five-year period, reported in Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles indicates 90% of married women were monogamous, compared to 60% of cohabiting women. Statistics were even more dramatic with male faithfulness: 90% of married men remained true to their brides, while only 43% of cohabiting men stayed true to their partner (Ciavola 1997). In another study published in the Journal of Marriage and the Family researchers analyzed the relationships of 1,235 women, ages 20 to 37, and found that women that had cohabited before marriage were 3.3 times more likely to have a secondary sex partner after marriage (Forste and Tanfer 1996:33-47). It was also found that married women were "5 times less likely to have a secondary sex partner than cohabiting women" and that "cohabiting relationships appeared to be more similar to dating relationships than to marriage."
So stay strong for you and her. The reason why she wants it is because it is a challenge. Do not give in! You can only give away your Purity once. Save it for that one girl you marry!

The thing about it is that most 21 yr olds cant wait to jump into the sack and lose their viriginity.
I think its commendable that you intend to preserve it until marriage but from her point of view, she might be thinking that there is something wrong with her or maybe you are getting your sex elsewhere is why you refuse to have it with her.
She will start questioning why you refuse to have sex with her and she will arrive at conclusions like you having it with someone else, you finding her unattractive, you not seeing a future in the relationship and what not.
Best talk it out and let her know how you feel and maybe she'll respect you for it.
Maybe she's just horny and she'll eventually get her sex somewhere else?

Well if she doesn't understand that you want to wait then you don't need to be with her, if you're trying to keep your virginity then it's best to be with someone who wants to do the same it's just easier. I've learned that with my boyfriend, it's easier when it's two virgins who believe in waiting until marriage. Dump her. The temptation is either going to get to you, or she's going to cheat on you with someone who wants to sleep with her and is willing to have her now. This is the kind of girl you can definitely do without. Good luck!

I will say, if now you have this *problem*, there is something wrong going on. Seems like you have different perspectives on life. I will consider this in order to continue this relation ship. Is hard to find a guy who doesn't want a have sex before marriage. I think she should respect this fact.

I think it is wonderfuk that in this day and age ther are actually virgins over the age of sixteen around. But seriously I think you should explain that this means a lot to you and its what you believe in and if she doesnt respect that she is obviously not the girl fot you. For if she really loved you she would respect that and wait until you are both ready.

It's pretty natural to want to be intimate with someone your with. You just aren't on the same page. She might not really care for waiting until marriage. Try to compromise. There are other things you can do. If she doesn't want to compromise tell her to go **** her damn self.

she wants to show her love for you. tell her about the "no sex before marriage" thing and say that just cuz you wont sleep with her it doesnt mean you dont love her. just make out with her in a good way hehehehe!

she probably really does understand, she may not have the same opinions so it might be hard to understand why you dont want to, most men your age are the ones pushing for sex....and physically it feels good it's something people like to do and if she is used to that it might be hard for her without it...just talk to her

because she wants to get pregnant and then stick you with a bill for child support for the following 18 years.
She sounds like a pushy, money hungry tart. Get away from her as fast as you can.
