sometimes it takes a tiny bit of ointment around the area to help it glide in. you likely have it all swollen and irritated. read gard and hilltop answers for good advice.

I dun think it wld close up so fast. I had encountered a similar thing before n the problem lies with the person who pierced the hole. He might haf pierced it slightly slanted. Try adjusting the position/ direction of the stud to the hole.Dun do it immediately nw since the poking might haf caused ur nose to be abit swollen.

Dabbing some water on the hole itself will help reduced friction and makes the stud to slide in easier.

hey i have my nosed pierced on both sides and the same ting happened to me. when you take out the stud it closes within a couple of minutes. So what you got to do is try your hardest to poke it through even though the hole is to small it will end up going. Oh ya and it will hurt like hell. (it has happened to me maybe 10 or 15 times)

while it's in as far as it will go move it around, maybe you just aren't lined up right
hopefully, you didn't take it out before it was completely healed. I know lots of peole who have it pierced with a stud and by a different piece of jewelry and try to change it as soon as they got home. the nose is thick and takes a while for the scar to form

Stick your finger in your nose and try to locate where you think the hole should be, then try the stud until it hits your finger. I have trouble with mine.

It won't close overnight. Put some ointment on it and go to bed. It's late. When you're not so frustrated in the morning you can deal with it.

Try a smaller gauge (thinner), or try having a warm shower for a while to soften your skin, or soak in salt water for a little while. This also helps clean and prevent infections. (salt kills bacteria)

Grit your teeth and shove it back in. I have had mine for a long time and I still have to fight with it if I leave it out a couple hours. My tongue, belly and earrings stay open forever but the nose....closes up fast!
