Hoo... okay, so firstly you are NOT obese.
127 is heavy on a 4'11'' frame, but not OBESE.
Just start doing cardio-aerobic workouts ever day.
Maybe go jogging every morning.
Try not to eat food with a lot of fat or sugar in it.
Conceptually, losing weight is not hard.
Practically it is... but have faith in yourself.
It'll turn out fine.

After several years of yo-yo dieting, what I finally found to work for me is a 1500 calorie diet using pre-prepared meals. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, my meals average about 300 calories each. That's about 900 calories. Then I use the additional 600 calories to snack several times a day eating 100 calorie pre-packaged snacks.
It works for me, because everything is already prepared and I don't have to count calories. I usually add a large green salad or fresh veggies (about 25 calories a cup) to my lunch or dinner meal.
It's easy to find Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones (weight watcher) and other prepared meals right in the grocery store. These meals are quite tasty. My store stocks a lot of 100 calorie snacks as well. Also, you find many fresh fruit for 100 or less calories.
Believe me, I am full all day because I'm eating either a meal or a snack about every 2 hours. Since January 1st, I have lost 15 pounds without even exercising or being hungry.
However, I plan to start walking very soon. Hope this helps you.
**Your ideal weight should be 94 - 119 pounds.

In order to successfully lose weight, you must know the facts below:
Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.
Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK.
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.
Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.
In fact, the food that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT!!!

I'm 5-8, at the start of last year I porked out at 300 lbs. That's obese. I am now just 10 pounds away from my goal of 200lbs. I didn't do any fancy diet or excersise program. I just took more walks and ate less and healthier. I used to love supersized fast food stuff, now I get a kids meal instead (my granddaughter loves it when I bring her a mcdonalds toy). I eat more salads and fruit and stuff like that. It does take a little willpower and discipline. but it can be done. good luck
