I had skinny GF, short ones tall ones and a fat one. So I m not shallow because I always looked at a person beyond their bodies. But my last experience with the big one (5'7 - 270lb) was not so great. Yes we laughed and joked and all but when I look at all the fat hanging from her belly, thighs, arms, stretch marks, shrunken skin, etc. I wonder if a weigh loss pgrm would even be helpful.
Las tsummer I went out with a close friend of mine I have known for 23 years (i m 28) and she's your typical A- girl where everything in her body just fits. We went out to the lake for a whole day and I looked at her and compared to what I see everyday at home and I decided that I 've had my share of the fat that I don't carry... then our relationship started going down hill and we broke up.
Plz dont call me shallow cuz I m not. Would you buy pants you think won't fit you? Would you buy a car with an ugly design? Of course not and it's the same here! Am I right or wrong?

- wanted roller blading, couldn't cuz she fell once and felt ashamed
- I wake board in the summer, she couldnt join
- We got a seadoo, she sunk half of it never sat on it again since her cousins made fun of her
- took her out to the island to rent a pedal boat for a romantic spin, we couldnt (cuz of her weight)
So basically I had to forgo lots of things I love doing because she can't and this lasted for 2 years. So when I said refrain from calling me shallow, I meant it!

You're not shallow. I covered this exact issue myself. I would always make excuses that I wasn't attracted to a girl for reasons other than size...but the fact is...
Healthy bodies attract me, not magazine scrawny nor overweight. It's actually an instinct to be attracted to people who are healthy and take care of themselves.
Let me tell you where you got this shallow idea from:
women who say a man is shallow if he looks at anything other than a womans personality. If anyone ever brings that up again...ask them if they would get into a relationship with someone much shorter than them.
That should end the conversation.

As a girl, I know I'm supposed to say you're a jerk... but I think you're right and within your rights to make a decision like that. Fat is not attractive to the vast majority of people and I think it should be okay to admit that-- it might be the first step in combating the obesity problem facing the world and especially the USA.
Not saying that you're a superstar.
I mean, if you really can't even withstand a day with another girl without poorly comparing your girlfriend, she can do better than you.

Well sweetie the fact that you would ask this question proves how shallow you really are. Everyone has their type and it's not up to me or anyone else to judge you. You're doing her a favor anyway because if she's not your type you'll just be looking around at girls that are and saving her the heartache. So go after only your type, then that way you won't have to worry about breaking anyone's heart or looking for someone else. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there is someone out there for her who will love her body just the way she is. As for you, unfortunately, you are shallow. You dated a few fatties in order for it to surface, but you are. Anytime you're with someone just because of their body or their looks is being shallow, and any girl you find will find something wrong with you. Whatever comes around goes around, but I'm sure you won't have a problem with that you're perfect right? Good luck!

At least you bothered to date around and see what's out there. Most people are just prejudiced, but you're coming from a point of view based on experience. I say, kudos to you.

So, fine, don't date fat girls. Don't date anyone you're not attracted to- it doesn't make sense. Don't make fun of them either. I'm sure you're not perfection on a platter.
