Your vet should be able to recommend a good multivitamin for you. Nutrical is a caloric supplement, given when your pet needs additional calories for energy or weight gain, it is not a vitamin supplement. The most important thing you can do for older cats is to have their bloodwork checked regularly, that way you can spot any problems early and address them before they get very serious (older cats often have kidney problems) You should only start a vitamin supplement after making sure his kidney and liver are working properly

It is always a good idea to use caution with older cats; they are more fragile.
My 17 year old cat became very ill after I started her on vitamins. She became painfully constipated and developed an infection.
I would recommend joint health supplements. You can find them at pet stores, but they are also available (and cheaper) at WalMart.
If your kitty is not eating as much, try Nutri-Cal paste to supplement his caloric intake, or switch him (slowly) to a higher calorie food like Hill's Science Diet A/D. It has a nice baby food- like consistency that is easy on their teeth and digestive systems.
If your kitty ends up needing medication, try hiding the pills inside Pill Pockets, which are little treats you can tuck meds in.
Hairball preventative paste is also nice to aid with digestion.
Good luck with your aging kitty, and I hope this helps! :)

One of the best things to try is called Nutri-Cal. It is available through your veterinarian and contains all the vitimans & supplements that your cat should be getting. They sell similar items in most pet stores, but Nutri-Cal is the best.
Another great one is called Welactin. Great source for geriatric patients but a little more expensive than Nutri-Cal. You can pick that up at your vet's office as well.

I don't think you should give your cat anything that would help him age. Is he imature ?
