people have a tendancy to worry about things they cannot control.Have no power over when and how it happens.Death is something none of us can escape and we dont know when our time will come.I dont worry about death as far as the experience itself,Im not at all scared.maybe because I was told 17 yrs ago I had 1-3yrs to live.so i sat around waiting to die, when i seen it wasnt going to happen I started to "live" so to speak. My only concern withdeath now is that i have a 10 yr old son and I would like for my death to come when he is old enough to take care of himself.I think thats what bothers people leaving behind ones we love who need us.Or not accomplishing something we really want to do.

Death granted is an integral part of living. But I think many feel death is too final and doesn't reward with immortality. That's why we have children.
However, knowing we are the top of the intelligence chain we also don't want to miss out on a thing. Sing higher, dance longer, walk further, make love more often, eat something more exotic, make more friends, enjoy toe taping music... The list goes on.
Myself I fear dying too soon because I really never got to fulfil my wanderlust. Not enough time, not enough money, too many bills perhaps, too busy to take the time, etc, etc. Sound familiar?
The only concerns you should be having at this juncture is... the ones you touch in your daily life. Touch more, touch often and touch with such fervour that they go to their grave knowing you loved them bunches.

i hate death. i'm terrified of death. most people are in this world because it's the fear of the unknown, that really scares people. we don't know what will happen to our souls after we die. where do we go from there? is there really such a thing as reincarnation at all? these questions can only be answered once we're already dead. how else can we find out if we're still living?

Yes, why do people worry about death so much?Everyone is going to die, there is nothing you can do to stop it. Its just part of life. You shouldnt be worrying about dying, you should praise the Lord and be happy that you are alive and make the most of your life while you still have it.

I'm agnostic, but think the same way you do. death isn't something to be outran or avoided at all costs. death simply "is". I will die when i die; and since whatever will come after is something i have no idea about and will never have any idea about, there is no sense worrying about it.

Not everyone believes in God or an afterlife, therefore, they want to live as long as they can and as well as they can now. For some, when you die physically you're dead for good.
