your neighborhood?

what do you consider your neighborhood. for example i consider roughly a square mile to be my neighborhood. my neighbor feels our neighborhood is our block only. my husband feels its probably a 4-6 block area.
what is a neighborhood? how large an area do you consider to be your neighborhood?

Generally speaking, neighborhoods are about a 4-8 block area, depending on how the area is blocked out. My neighborhood is about 5 blocks long, but doesn't include any of the houses behind either side of the street. Those folks are snobs, lol.

I consider the neighborhood the immediate homes right here in our area. The people I know. Approximately two blocks.

Sometimes I just consider it to be the street I live on, and sometimes I feel it's a larger space, something more like a radius of a mile or so from my house. I guess it depends on what I'm talking about at the time, and whether I want to be associated with it or not.

Our neighborhood is very small...our street (about 20 houses) and the 2 streets attached to it....an additional 4 houses on each...grand total of 28 houses and 3 streets.

Depends on where in the block you live we live in the middle so just our block. but gennereally just your block or the neighboring block also.
