coz.. he does not like to expose his wet feathers..

Probably to make him seem more human or because it's his style. Maybe his girlfriend prefers it.
Since a duck's feathers are suppose to be water repellent, I would think he wouldn't have much water on him, when he gets out of the shower.

I had to smile when I saw your question. I wish I had the answer but I dont. But I did want to compliment you on your astute observations.
I will propose a theory though, he has a towel because its protocol to wear one when you step out of the shower.

Actually, you need to ask why does he take a shower. Duck feathers are waterproof.

maybe to teach the kids by suggestion tht they too need to wear their towels when they come out of showers. lil kids infamously run out naked with the mommies running after them with the towels;)!!!!
