I had dizzy spell tonight. It's getting to be a normal thing for me. They never last for very long, maybe a few seconds, but they seem to be happening more frequently. I noticed two things: first, I had just leaned back into an uncomfortable position (I was trying to get comfy reading a magazine), and second, I was hit with nausea until it ended. A quick online search brought me to benign positional vertigo. The site I'm reading says it's a disorder of the inner ear. A couple of months ago, a close friend of mine has noticed that my hearing isn't as good as it used to be. He mentioned I say "huh?" or "what?" a lot, which has started me paying a lot more attention, and cleaning out my ears. Didn't help, so now I am considering getting a hearing test done.

While I'm not on here to be diagnosed, I just wanted to know if hearing loss is a symptom of the disorder? Should I get to the doctor soon?

Get yourself to an ENT and be checked. There are exercises to help with this condition and a doctor can determine any hearing loss. When my BPV came up I already had a history of ear infections and surgeries on both my ears and hearing loss goes with the territory. Hopefully you haven't sustained a lot of damage from those nasty ear infections and seeing a good doctor will help alleviate your anxiety.

See an ENT Dr. for this. It is possible to have hearing loss with this. I use to work for an ENT and we saw this quite frequently. The other thing he use to tell patients was to limit salt and caffeine. You also can get some over the counter medicine to help with this, you probably have heard of Dramamine. I also suffer with dizziness from time to time. I have a bottle of Motion sickness pills that I bought at Wal-Mart it they work great. Try that until you can get an appointment. Good Luck

Doctor's can give you medicine for it............I was fortunate mine went away on its own.

Rest and be well. Ü
