Growing up my father used to make macaroni and milk. I have never found another family who ate this. He said it was a poor people food his mother made. You boil elbow macaroni, drain, add to milk with some salt and bacon fat and pieces. I used to hate it. But I enjoy it as an adult.

Every box of macaroni and cheese gives a basic recipe of how to make it. Cook the macaroni. Drain. Add 1/4 cup of milk. Add 1/4 cup margerine or butter and sauce packet. Yeah! Macaroni and Cheese!

Yes, in Europe they would eat that for cereal. Years ago they didnt have the cereals like we did. So a common breakfast would be milk and macaroni or milk and rice with a little sugar

There was also another cereal that used the bacon fat and pieces in a milk like broth but not milk along with a hard boiled egg and potatoes...my fav:) Very eastern european...sounds gross but very good

This sounds like macaroni and cheese without the cheese...you would cook it the same way....add cheese, milk, margerine and yes bacon pieces if you wanted to...sometimes is made that way in a cassarole...just never had it without the cheese.

I'd rather eat raw spam out of a can!

Macaroni in Milk is so bad for you!

Try a nice piece of Salmon (Omega 3 Fatty Acids)

dudes, it doesn't make much of a difference. It is still milk after all. Put a little pepperjack in to give it a third flavor if your feeling adventurous.

No I've never had it, it sounds like it might be good though if you left out the bacon fat.

I never even heard of it. It kind of reminds me how Alfredo sauce used to be made with just butter and parmesean cheese- No cream.
