I'd go with a mix - those are pretty fail-safe. But otherwise, I think she would think it was sweet that you made the effort :) Worst case scenario, take her out to a cafe and buy her a brownie.

Hello danny_kusanagi,
That was really nice of you, Danny. Good work. So did she say that she didn't like them? You put a lot of personal effort in making those just for her. I would say that this was a pretty good Valentine's Day gift.
Maybe if she wants better brownies, she can do some baking with you. That sounds pretty good too. Now what is she going to do for you?

There not that hard to bake just follow the instructions. Maybe buy brownie mix family size. Then buy a big pan and make an outline of a heart before baking it, than cut it into a heart. Than you eat the rest.

It's a cute gesture to make something for her... You might want to go for a back up plan just incase, but I am sure they will be fine. Maybe make her a little picture book of the two of you to go along with the brownies. Being creative usually gets a girls attention.

Its the thought that counts. If my bf did that I would think it was sweet he took the time to do it but the guy before me is right if you cant do it just baking then buy a mix... i like the peanut butter chip brownie!

Go ahead and give them to her. She'll love the effort. And if she says anything about the taste, play it off as a joke, or tell her that's just the preview and then take her out to a cafe or something and buy her a real, fancy dessert.

yes, in theory its the thought that counts. what i would suggest you do is have two sets of brownies, urs and then another(either bought or baked by someone who can bake) and give her both. i think she would love that you took the time to bake it even if does not taste that great and then u can both enjoy the "good" brownie.

She should still appreciate the brownies even if they don't turn out right, but you should still try and get it right the first time. You're right, it is the thought that counts.

You're a sweet man :) I don't know about your gf, but you'd win points if I were her. You'd get even more points if it turns out that you are a wiz in the kitchen.
