It is not a hormonal imbalance, you can change it. You need to use your mind to get over this.

I am single mum. I have been suffering for panic attacks for some 15 years now, though it was not until recently I understood what they were. They were progressively getting stronger and more frequent, stopping me from some days even leaving my house. I read this book and it all made perfect sense.

I am not saying I was not terrified of putting theory to action, I was more scared of that than the next attack! But I decided to view it as a game, one I had control of and could therefore not lose!

Panic attacks do not have a well-understood underlying cause, so it is very difficult to say whether they are "curable" or not. --but the symptoms can absolutely be treated. There are a number of anti-anxiety medications that can you avoid (or at least lessen the impact of) anxiety attacks. It is important to understand the kinds of situations or events that trigger your panic attacks so that you can avoid them and/or learn how to become desensitized to the trigger so that it doesn't induce an attack.

no panic is 100 percent curable by using behavior therapies and person can become normal in few months . sorry but is not harmonal imbalance rather it is chemical imbalance of the brain called neurotransmeters. it can be balanced by madicine or behavior therapy.

It must be some kind of phobea. Better consult a homeopath. Homeopathy works better for mental related complaints. Drink Noni herbal fruit juice which is too good for mental relaxation.

well as you go on, you start to learn how to mentally adapt to panic attacks. I had panic attacks whenever I'd go out in public but then i started to learn how to control my panic attacks. You should ask yourself why you are panicking. I convinced myself that I had nothing to worry about and that it's not a life or death situation. Just reassure yourself that everything is ok. Now I don't really have panic attacks.

But I know that once you have a panic attack, you panic about having a panic attack. It goes on in a vicious cycle. That's when you really have to go out and try to mentally control your panic attacks. I try not to rely on medication as it will only make you dependent on it. If you simply can't do it on your own, try to go see a cognitive behavioral therapist, they can usually help.

Of course you can live a 'normal' life. But that depends on what your definition of "normal" is.
In today's society, it is quite common for someone to take medication for one thing or another. You might just have to face the news that you may be an individual who has to keep clonazepam or ativan closeby. That doesn't mean you'll be walking around like a zombie, though.

If you want to live without medication for the condition, you'll need to accept psychological treatment in order to find what the "trigger", or "stimulus", is that sets off the attacks.
This might involve a lot of self introspection and often includes dealing with some form of PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder.

But I'm walking proof that you can live life without mediation for panic/anxiety disorders.(I'm actually living proof for a LOT of things. LOL)
I use to have attacks everywhere. Grocery stores, at home, while driving, you name it, and they got so bad that I'd mindlessly walk into moving traffic or drop to all fours and act like a soldier during a bombing raid.
After I dealt with some serious PTSD, the attacks almost disappeared. Then I got further treatment because sexual abuse reared its ugly head while I was taking treatment.
Is it easy? No. Is it worth it? You wanna believe it.

God Bless you and thanks for letting me offer my assistance.
