to pick a privite school for my kids.It is still early.I have one year to research.But i am not sure what to look for or what to ask or how to pick one.How do i know which one is right?I am lost.Help please.And i feel stupid.I don't want to pick one because it's clean or they were very nice to me.They all seem the same to me.

The best thing to do is to volunteer for a few hours and see how they treat kids in general. You might have to submit to a background check but in the long run, it will be well worth for your peace of mind. If they dont allow you to volunteer, I would start looking for another place.

I would call the schools and take a tour, see what they do during the day and how the teachers are with the children, as well as class size/safety issues, etc. Many schools have a waiting list, so although you think that a year is plenty of time, you may want to start now!

Few things to start with; price, class sizes, school size, their mission statement, talk to parents who have kids there already. Good luck.
