so, a girl tells me, "...if you'd like to get to know my roommates and I better..."
NO - she did not mean a 3-some.
NO - none of her roommates know me.
I'm trying to get to know her better. lunch. movie in a group. etc.
yesterday, i ask her, "i'm craving for pizza. would you like to go to dinner with me tomorrow....cause I don't want to you to starve..."
she doesn't respond til she's done with work.
her: "how are you doing, etc."
her: "i didn't mean to brush you off yesterday....but if the pizza dinner is a date, I'm....not interested."
me: "well, I was just asking for pizza."
her: "oh...I must have read it wrong then."
me * her: idle chat.
so i'm confused. granted, i got shot down. but some explanations here? Why does she say, "get to know me and my roommates better" if she doesn't want it to happen? Why couldn't we just have dinner and not be a date?
Is it considered "combatitive" if I call her up and tell her this?
I work in same place b/not with her.
I did get my pizza & beer

She's being really smart. Now, based on your post, I can't really determine your personality, but you seem sweet and really nice, but often girls are worried that this is only an act. She wants to get to know you better before she commits to anything deeper with you. As far as her roommate goes, she's probably not comfortable enough with you yet to spend time with you alone. Next time, ask her and her roommates and maybe a couple of your friends out for pizza. It will be a lot less awkward for her, and she won't feel as pressured to potentially do something she may possibly regret later, like getting into a committed relationship.

i think, its not that she didnt want to go out with you, but more that her dad wouldnt approve with you being 19. Either taht or she may have already had her eye set on this other guy and wanted to pursue him more than you. Depending on her maturity level, she may value the friendship with you and didnt want to become more out of fear that if yall didnt last it would ruin the relationship yall already have. Finally, after finding out that her friend told you that she had a new BF she may have felt embarrassed or uncomfortable for telling you that she didnt want a BF right now. So she decided to just avoid you so that she wouldnt have to explain herself. So there could be many possible reasons why she acted the ways she did. The only way you will ever know is probably if she tells her best friend because, its obvious that you won't be able to get a straight answer from her.

She's not interested Bro.
If you want to get to know my roommates and me? Helllooo.
She probably wants to show her friends what a nut you are.
(and don't ttake this the wrong way, as there is probably nothing wrong with you)
Some girls like to play and flirt. They're in a group. You need to meet someone alone not a group where they will gang up on you.
Forget her and find somebody nice.

By including her roommates she deflecting attention away from herself with hopes that you spark an interest in one of roomies. From the sounds of it she's not interested in getting to know you. She's interested in a friendship only. So next time you want to get out, suggest getting together with her and her roomies for dinner. You might just find that one of her roomies is interested in you. Just because you don't know them, doesn't mean they don't know you;)

sounds like she is playing games with you. Ask her what is going on, and if she can not give you a straight answer, then just leave her alone. Maybe she doesnt even know what she wants. Or she is a lesi.
