If the mother disagrees with it, she should take it out.

Whilst I wouldn't want my daughter subjected to that, other parents are entitled to a different opinion.

Man, that's really bad!

I honestly understand that you feel the need to help but you'll have to leave it up to the mum to take action here...

What about if the baby gets a cold, or heaven forbid, it gets ripped out? Lord Help US!

At the very least, this is poor judgement on the part of the father...

body piercing or mod is a very personal, individual thing, the father just took the choice away from this child, who is not old enough to make the decision for herself...not cool, not cool at all...

I'm surprised the piercing place even did this...let's hope it wasn't done at home...the piercing place should be held accountable as well...

If I were the mom, I would take it out right away and seek legal counsel...

IF this is true (note I said IF) the only possible way it could happen is if a friend of the father's or a family member pierced the baby's nose because here in the U.S. it is against the law for ANY establishment to do so and I don't think ANY establishment no matter how disreputable would WANT to get into that much trouble, not only would it mean the business shut down but ALL of it's employees jailed. So let's all get out our hip boots, shitshovels and lysol and get to work because there be cowpies a plenty~

NOT THAT I AGREE, ... but to play devil's advocate.... as long as the caregiver takes proper care of that piercing... what is the difference between piercing the nose and the ears (and I already understand that nose is cartilage and subject to infection easier than an earlobe and takes longer to heal...) I'm saying with proper care, what's the difference??

What did the mother say? Just curious.

That should be abuse. If the father isn't the custodial parent and the mother has a problem with the piercing, she can take the father to court over it. If the nose stud is removed, the hole should heal in about a week with minimal scarring.

I don't get it -- What do you need "help" with? This isn't even your child, correct? If your neighbor is upset enough, I'm SURE she'll find some way of dealing with this herself...either by contacting her lawyer for advice or by contacting some other person of authority that specializes in child welfare cases.

Besides, this sounds like BS to me. I could be wrong, but it just seems rather lame.

My mom pierced my ears (nicely have been given it carried out via somebody else) at 6 months previous and she or he did it mutually as i replace into asleep....i didnt even awaken and afterwards i replace into effective to boot, basically take the medicine they grant for you once you get the piercing carried out and persist with that on a regular basis. do no longer circulate to CLAIRES, circulate to a various place that does piercings, claires is familiar to create infections now and returned, they could be greater efficient now, yet i wouldnt take the possibility. wish that helped:)

Is this for real? If I were the childs mother I would refuse to let the child go with him again. Obviously he has no common sense and a judge would most likely agree with this. She should go to court and get his rights taken away, he is an idiot.

tell her to take it out 2 years old is too young to know how to take proper care and it will just end up infected. ears are one thing but the nose is to risky. good luck
