No. It is probably the software or programs downloaded from limewire that screwed up the Mac

I am certain that the tech who put forth the idea that limewire caused a computer to break down was merely grasping for straws...

There seems to be some kind of urban legend that Macs don't break down...

I have worked on plenty of Macs... they seem to have the same vulnerabilities as any PC.. hard drive crashes... power supply failures.. the occasional , though rare :) VIRUS...

Maybe some PC manufacturer can do a reverse on the Mac ad campaign against VISTA..

(...now I am no fan of VISTA... but that was (funny) and just WRONG)...

Like maybe an ad that is a take off on the Maytag repairman commercial... maybe a guy dressed up like a Maytag repairman trying to get his Mac repaired ... but the Mac repair guy is walking a picket line out in front of a PC shop protesting VISTA... so there is no one to repair the Mac... NOW THAT'S CLASSIC

It is very rare for macs to get viruses, especially from things like limewire. A lot of the stuff on limewire contains viruses, but it will only affect PCs. However, depending on how much RAM your mac has, running limewire could slow down your computer, and make it hard for the computer to properly function.

No offense meant towards the mac genius's, but they are not always genius's!! What they can't explain, they blame on something, (if you sound confident about something, others will believe it)
