Acc to the Hindus, there are only two happy people in the world, the enlightened soul, and the complete fool. Since a world full of fools is likely to be hazardous, it is better to become enlightened, and short of that, to have an education. Just think of it as having a rotten tooth removed. When the dentist begins to pull, the pain increases, but when the tooth is out, the pain subsides and peace of mind is restored. Better to have the tooth out, than to live one's life with a super-sensitive tooth.

Ignorance is not bliss, notwithstanding the old saw. It has been truly said that those who do not understand the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them. I am still studying, after more years than I care to count.
