I was about 12 years old. I was playing with a friend of mine next to the river in Paris (La Seine) and we were not supposed to be there because every year, kids drowned in that river. We saw a little old boat attached to the docks with a rope. It looked abandoned because there was a hole in it and it was full of water but the sides were still floating. My friend said it was fun to go to the end of the boat, your weight would start to sink it then you would run back to the docks so the boat would come back above the surface and float again. It was fun for a while indeed and we took turns making the boat sink and resurface. At one point, we miscalculated and we found both of us on the boat at the same time so our weights combined made it completely sink like a stone, like deep vertical, but still attached to the docks with the ropes. We both fell into the water. I found myself in the deep, not knowing how to swim. The water was very polluted so I could not see anything. I extended my arms in front of me in the dark water and they were hit by the boat going back to the surface (since none of us were on top of it anymore) so I grabbed that piece of wood and went back to the surface with it. Once there, I was a few feet from the docks but I felt safe because I was holding on to the boat which had resurfaced. I started looking for my friend but I could not see her. Only a few seconds had passed since we made the boat sink but it felt like everything was going in slow motion. So there I was: holding on to the boat with one arm and sweeping the dark waters with the other, going around the boat and trying to find my friend. At that point, I started to lose hope and then I started praying which was new to me since I was never indoctrinated into any organized religions. I said: please, God…and then suddenly I felt something. I grabbed it and it was my friend’s hand. I pulled her to the surface. She was coughing water.
Both of us were fine after that ordeal except that we were smelling like a sewer and I knew that a miracle had just happened.
I went to the Church and lit a candle to thank the One who helped me.

Yes, at a bad point in my life I prayed for hours one day that God would show me what to do. I had been thinking of just walking off of my job. Then I prayed that God would just show me some sign that He was there. The very next day my Grandfather told me that while he was in prayer the Lord spoke to him and told him to tell me that I was thinking of quitting my job and it was not the right thing to do right now. God got both of those prayers answered in one sentence.
You could have knocked me over with a feather when my Grandfather told me that. There was absolutely no way my Grandfather could have known I was thinking that except from the Lord. It was one of the most amazing days of my life.
Another time I was thinking of getting a Bible to give to this guy. I stopped at the store and then decided against it. I felt an overpowering urge to buy it for him so I ended up doing it. When I got home I thought, "How will I be able to give this to him." I thought giving it to him at work would embarrass him. I hadn't been home long when the phone rang and he asked me to come to his house to help him move some furniture or something. That guy had never called me before the whole time I had known him.

One example. When I first got involved in church about 25 years ago.I was supposed to wake up early and be there at 7:00 am.All that night ,every time I'd start to fall asleep, the smoke detector would go off,and it was hard wired not battery operated.I go down the hall and look at it and it would stop.I'd climb back in bed, drift off and Beep,Beep,Beep!!!.This happened at least 5 times. In the morning,my alarm didn't go off but I was awakened by a radio in the living room, going full blast.on a Christian station. It seemed that there was a little tussle between an angel and a demon maybe? That's a true story. The smoke alarm never acted up again, neither did the radio.

Yes, many times in my life. It's a shame that the people who don't know can't wait to show their ignorance on posts like these. If you believe that God has never done anything for you or that He isn't real, then just say nothing.

Yes he has healed me twice when doctors could do nothing, he has healed my husband, he has worked many many miracles in my life too many to even list. Impossible things he has done time and time again. And at times when I didn't feel my prayers were being answered he would lead me to fast and then show me I was praying a miss or the reason my prayer wasn't answered the way I thought it should be. He IS AWSOME!!!!!!

Yes, and I'm not a religious person. My fiance survived a motorcycle accident without a helmet. He was thrown 45 ft. and rolled another 45 ft. Only 11 staples in his head and a slight concusion. Although major injuries to his lungs and left leg, he made it through. I believe someone was watching over him that night. The doctors have no explanation as to why he survived.

No, not even when I was a Christian. I knew enough even back then to know that just because something good happens, that doesn't mean that God is treating me special.
