NEVER BUY ONLINE!!!
Too many scams and people selling sick puppies. Better to meet the breeder.
Better still to get one from a rescue. Contact local animal control for Maltese rescue groups.
I've never heard of Teacup Maltese. Ask the breeder about adult sizes.
Cheers.

There is NO SUCH THING AS "TEA CUP" ANYTHING!!!! "TEA-CUP" IS JUST A TERM THAT BACKYARD BREEDERS USE TO DESCRIBE THE RUNT ON THE LITTER - THE RUNT IS ALWAYS EITHER SMALLER OR BIGGER. If you buy a NORMAL SIZED Maltese from a reputable breeder, expect to pay $500 - $1100+ for a good Maltese puppy.
An average Maltese will grow to be approx. 8 - 10 inches high (20 - 25cm) and approx. 6 - 9lb (3 - 5kg) 6-9lb (3-5kg) in weight.
NEVER, ever buy a puppy online. They come from either puppy mills or lousy backyard breeders. You can check on the AKC website or the Maltese Club (in your state) website to look for reputable breeders with puppies available now or soon.

Maltese dogs are fairly expensive. My mom bought one when I was a teenager and I believe it was close to $1000. I have read that reputable breeders do not sell "teacup" puppies. Those that are "teacups" tend to be sickly. Maltese puppies in general are part of the toy breed. They stay pretty tiny. You should ALWAYS buy from the breeder's home--This way you can see what conditions the pups live in...this is very important. Anybody can post random pictures on line. You should check out this site. There is lots of info...http://www.majestymaltese.com/

The so called teacups are fragile, prone to breaking bones and health problems. You want a healthy dog, I'm pretty sure once you fall in love with your pup you won't care what size it gets.
Maltese are not inexpensive dogs. I purchased one by viewing it online but I still made a trip to the breeders house, one because she was responsible enough that she would not ship her dogs, and two because I wanted to see her, how she raised her dogs and see the puppy around her canine family.
She's small, not teacup small, but small like all maltese and a sweet little thing. She's the love of my life.

Please rethink getting a "teacup" one, get one that's full size instead, typically they will still be 15 lbs or so full size. Teacup dogs tend to have more health problems is why I reccommend you avoid them. DEFINITELY get it from someone that breeds their dogs in the house and "raised underfoot"-as part of the family, not in a kennel. And go there in person, see how the dogs are living, meet the mother, and the father if you can. If you buy one online or at a pet store, it's impossible to know if they were handled properly when they were young, or if the parents were healthy and well-mannered.

Look it up on how much it costs and and look up how big they are. Also do not buy it online even though it might be cheaper. But do what you want.
