Always hold it in in public until you can get to a rest room!! That's just nasty otherwise!!! Especially if you are in an elevator!!

Only if it can be held in. If it's bursting to come out, then I let it out, little by little. I'm an expert at that. Then there's no noise. I'm real lucky that my farts are not smelly so it does not pose a problem for me as well as the public.

It would depend on the enviroment. If in a business meeting, I would hold it in until I could excuse myself. If I were at the beach or in the mall I may let loose. If with my best girlfriend I would double over cramping and claim a bad back to keep from releasing it.

Absolutely, I would never fart in public. That is very rude, inappropriate and disgusting.

ROFFOL! (Rolling on floor farting out loud) If I was with someone I'm trying to impress I'd try to hold it. If it's a bunch of folks I don't know and will never get to know, who cares? Why should I remain uncomfortable for a bunch of folks I don't know?

Yes and I don't burp in public as well. I think bodily gasses are very private.

In a loud concert no, in an elevator yes.

If I could be silent, I would, but if not, I'd just give a blanket "pardon me" to anyone within earshot.
