A stressball...lol jk
I found this site...
http://www.cafepress.com/buy/Psychologist/?click=true&CMP=KNC-G-GJ-JOB&ovchn=GGL&ovcpn=Occupations+Basic&ovcrn=sr2OC1go40947go1420pi1ai1192+Psychologist+gifts&ovtac=PPC&SR=sr2OC1go40947go1420pi1ai1192
There was some pretty funny stuff on there.
In conjunction with a funny gift , I would suggest something that he will have forever, like a moneyclip or a really nice picture frame for his degree or grad pic.
Good luck...from the research I just did, they are about the hardest to gift shop for.

A prepaid VISA card may not be terribly romantic, but a couple of hundred dollars can sure come in handy should they need a little "emergency" money during their travels. OR a Trac-phone - a prepaid cell-phone - with a whole pile of minutes on it - could be nice for keeping in touch. You can get a "double minutes" card which doubles the minutes you purchase for about $50. And 400 minutes is only $100. The phone itself is maybe $25. So that's in your budget. OR a digital camera with a couple of extra storage disks would be great for recording their "road trip."

In my opinion, the best gits are the ones from the heart. The best gift I ever received in my life was from my wife.

It's a small, wooden statue of a cute little cherub, standing with arms spread wide and a smile on his face.

The inscription reads:

.........."I Love You This Much."

That was over 30 years ago. All other gifts we gave to each other over the years have long since vanished.

I still have this gift, and will cherish it to the day I die.
