Coconut milk is thinner more milky or liquid while cream is more like lumpy and thicker in consistency. But most of the time, you can substitute the cream for the milk or vice versa if you are using it to cook a dish. In desserts though, it might make a difference if it requires cream because it is thicker and has sort of lumps on it and the coconut milk is just like liquid all throughout.

The only real difference is consistency; coconut cream is thicker than coconut milk because it contains less water. The taste probably won't be much different, but the consistency may be off. You might want to add a little water to think it out.

the milk is the one you get when the pulp is juiced out.

Coconut cream is an infusion of shredded coconut and water. Coconut cream may also be made with milk instead of water to obtain a richer product.

Coconut cream is very similar to coconut milk but contains less water. The difference is mainly consistency. It has a thicker, more paste-like consistency, while coconut milk is generally a liquid.

I'm from a tropical country that produces lots of coconut and uses coconut cream and milk lots of the time.

When the meat of a mature coconut is grated and squeezed, you produce coconut cream. If before squeezing the grated mature coconut you add water, the yield is coconut milk.

Therefore, coconut cream is thicker and more concentrated while coconut milk is thinner and less concentrated.

Coconut milk is a combination of a little bit of coconut meat and coconut water that comes from inside a coconut, if you pick one up and shake it you'll hear the liquid inside. Cream of Coconut is the meat of the coconut and coconut milk kind of pureed together.

The undiluted liquid from a coconut is called coconut water because it's slightly thicker than water and slightly bitter. Really nasty.. unless you load it with vodka then it's a nice tropical drink.

Coconut milk comes right from the coconut, and cream of coconut has had things added to the coconut milk like sugar, eggs, corn syrup etc.
