I'm in my mid-20's and I'm not currently single, so I'll go by what I use to do.
I've had a variety of guys approach me in bar and clubs in college and hit on me. Honestly, I look at what he looks like; if he's cute I might say something equally as cheesy back, as a joke to get the conversation going.
If the guy was unattractive or creepy, I would do a sarcastic laugh with a disgusted look on my face. A little cruel yes, but some of those creepy guys don't get the vibes. I'd rather be blunt, then have a creepy guy follow me around. If that didn't work, I would tell him I needed to use the bathroom; find my friends and we would find another part of the bar/club to hang out in. Or find some guys friends to be around.

First off, I'm a guy, but it all depends on how a girl is being hit on. If a girl is younger, a nice guy will bore her, if a guy is an idiotic jerk, then normally he gets her number.
However, if a girl is older, like in her thirties, she is probably looking for an intelligent, decent man that is nice and has a good job. Just the opposite of what she looked for in high school.

I'm 20 and it honestly deoends on the situation. If I'm on my thrity minute lunch break and someone is making small talk while I'm trying to get back to work. I may blow them off unless they reall intriuge me but if I have more time I at least flatter the guy with some small talk in return.

i like it when a guy comes and talks to me. as long as he doesnt come with some lame pick up line. & as long as he's a gentleman about it. i dont want to hear about what he does for a living or his life plan in the first 10 minutes of conversation. be polite, introduce yourself, and make small talk. maybe ask for my number. anything beyond that is annoying. .. i'm 23. =)

It can get kinda annoying because well isn't there a less annoying way to tell a random girl you think shes hot? But it is sweet. my first boyfreind was awful at flirting with me so he had a friend do IT!

I just tell them sorry and that I have a boyfriend. I found it kind of annoying because it kept happening, but it was also fun to know that people found me attractive. I'm 24.

it would depend on if they started off in a dumb player guy sort of way, like sayin "hey baby" or crap like that, or if they came up & said something more generral & not so much like a pickup line.
