Incest is sexual relations between blood relatives. That could between a brother and sister, father and daughter, uncle and niece, aunt and nephew or even (the least likely) mother and son. Sex between family members of the same sex is of course also incest. There is a taboo in our society against incest and it's probably for good reason. There is evidence of long term psychological damage because of incest, especially when one participant is a minor or any kind of coercion or force is involved. It's best to be avoided in my opinion!

A dangerous practice if performed with close relatives, because it makes the chances higher that a child conceived from the union will be born with a birth defect
