So, a girl tells me, "...if you'd like to get to know my roommates and I better..."
NO - that did not mean a 3-some.
So, I'm trying to get to know her better. lunch. movie in a group. etc.
yesterday, i ask her, "i'm craving for pizza. would you like to go to dinner with me tomorrow....cause I don't want to you to starve..."

she doesn't respond til she's done with work.
her: "how are you doing, etc."
her: "i didn't mean to brush you off yesterday....but if the pizza dinner is a date, I'm....not interested."
me: "well, I was just asking for pizza."
her: "oh...I must have read it wrong then."
me * her: idle chat.

so i'm confused. granted, i got shot down. but some explanations here? Did I say, "Do you want to go on a date?" Didn't I just say, "Do you want to go out to pizza?" Why does she say, "get to know me and my roommates better" if she doesn't want it to happen?

Is it considered "combatitive" if I call her up and tell her this?

Btw, I did get my pizza and beer.

I would say it was just miscommunication. I think she read it wrong, don't be combatitive with her just get over it and ask her another time and make yourself clear that it isn't a date it's dinner.

You need to ask yourself why you are attracted to this type of woman. Clearly you are picking women who are not for you. And believe me, there are plenty of women out there that are not rude or insulting. I would suggest thinking about what common thread all these women have then look for a gal who is the opposite of this! She may not be what you think of first off as a potential date, but she might start off as a great new friend. Try a picnic date, a simple ice cream, a daytime matinee movie or a baseball game at the park. Those are not pricey dates but are certainly fun. Expensive dates are not always the ticket. Some women don't like the idea they have to put out just because a guy took her to a top dollar meal. A ladies good company should be all that is expected of the date.

She said, "if the pizza dinner is a date, I'm not interested." To me that sounds like she isn't interested in dating you, or maybe going out for pizza isn't her idea of a date. Ask her to do something she might find more interesting or fun, and see how she responds. If she says no again, she probably does not want to date you.

it's hard to explain girl's way of thinking. you have to have sixth sense in order to understand them. learn to read between the lines, learn to decipher their body language. most girls say something and mean another thing. sounds confusing, huh? anyway, the point is if you like a girl, don't give up. go for it. maybe, in this instance, the girl wants to know if you were asking for a date from her. why not just be frank and honest about it? next time, if you're asking a girl out, tell him it's a date. maybe it will be less confusing.

I have a feeling that one of her roommates may like you and she trying to give the other girl a chance. But who knows, it could honestly be anything. Good luck with that.
