I think it is rather expensive compared with other shows in Bangkok or Pattaya. Is it worth a visit?

It's a kind of Las Vegas style Thai-history-in-one-hour show. Well organized bizarre performance, I may say but this is for a bus tour group who enjoys the beach, the sun, shopping, and nightlife in a day. If you have ever visited Rose Garden or Cultural Center, it will be boring (same, same). Worth a visit? Yes, if this is your first time to Thailand and you have only 1 day in Pattaya.

The Alangkarn Show is a Thai cultural show, all showy a la French style. It has elaborate costumes and props on show. Included are fireworks and laser display. Besides this show, there is restaurant with international buffet. Plus a cultural village showcasing Thai handicrafts and products on sale.

The price you pay is about the same as you would to a Tiffany show. So it is not really that expensive. This will be a unique experience especially if you want to see colourful Thailand culture.
