Nice gesture but I live in a town w/ 2 stop light's. The people will come to you. Those are the nosey one's (avoid lol)...
The rest wait until summer you will like them. Cookies will give you point's with the older one's 55-? range though. And be sure to wave and smile when your out getting your mail.
You will be fine :)

I stay in an extremely small city and my sources is surrounded by using a state wooded area. There are under 900 citizens here, however the neighboring cities are purely some miles down the line and that they have got approximately 12,000 citizens or so.i became born in the city of Boston yet my family members moved from there while i became 4 years old. i like the rustic and have lived in the rustic all of my existence. As small as this city is it has many inventive activities, and in the summer season the neighboring cities have a good variety of cultural activities, at the same time with: concert activities, inventive endeavors and particularly some different social activities happening.

I don't know where you are moving to, but usually in a small town the people are hospitable to you moving into their town. You might expect some onlookers while you and the fam are unloading, but other than that people will gradually introduce themselves when they know you have "settled in".
A good rule of thumb, just be prepared for hillbilly invasion...Don't go all out to impress small town folk. Most of them are just friendly and layed back. You'll enjoy the environment after awhile if you are used to big city living.
Enjoy!! and Happy moving! Be safe

Be careful what you say about other people. Gossip travels especially fast in a small town. The house warming party is a good idea, but don't be suprised if they are a little backwards at times. Depends on the town of course. Just be nice, friendly, guard your secrets and what you say.

Yes, I do. You don't need to do anything special. Just be nice and friendly to those you want. Big and small towns are alike. There are all kinds of people good and bad. Follow your gut instincts.

You could have a bar b que picnic to invite all the neighbors over. I would just be friendly and play it by ear at first. They just might invite you first. Just be friendly and you will be fine.
