Can she hear you? If she can not hear you when you call her, she obviously will not come. Have her checked out by a vet to make sure she is fine.

I'm curious, why would you think your dog hates you? Have you been hateful to her? Or is she just timid and doesn't understand?
Thinking that a dog has nothing more interesting to do than come every time a human calls it is just plain ego talking. If you haven't given your dog a reason to want to hang with you, you'll never get her to come.

If you've scared her, or punished her for not coming, or haven't taken the time to train her, etc. she won't want to come to you.

You have to make yourself (during training) more interesting than all the things around her. If she is a scenthound, you have to work your tail off being more interesting than all the delightful bunny tracks she has found, for example.

It can be done, but it takes work.

The Cardinal Sin of dog training is calling your dog to you then punishing them.

If you want to teach your dog to come to you, you need to be someone that dog wants to come to. When you practice, be Disneyland (the happiest place on earth) to your dog.

Buy 50 feet of clothesline, tie a hook on one end and knots every 5 or 6 feet. Do NOT yank your dog, this will only make her not want to come to you, just use the clothesline as a way of keeping her from running off while you make yourself an appealing target to her.

Practice running away from her to picque her interest. When she runs by you, give her a treat. When first training, it is best to stand sideways and use a high, bright cheerful voice. You will get a better response during training. A deep commanding voice is a correction tone and will make your dog wary and scared.

It is only fair to correct a dog after it has actually learned the procedure you want, and that takes close to 6 weeks of daily practice.

If you go to www.dogwise.com and plug "recall" into the search engine, you will find some excellent materials for teaching your dog to come to you.

my dog never came either

I agree with above posters

1. he might be deaf. I had a deaf dog growing up and I loved her more than anything in the world. I cried like a baby when she died.

2. I now have a maltese that can hear. He never came to me. I hated that. So

A) I took him to the park and made sure he knew that I had the doggy treats with me.

B) When he was playing in the park I held up the treats so he could see them and I said " Come"

C) when he came over I gave him a treat and saiud "good boy".

I repeated this a few times and it honestly only took a few hours and now he comes to me pretty much any time i say come.

remember to not scold your dog for not coming. If you hit or scold him, he will relate that bad feeling with coming to you and will have an aversion to it. Good luck and let us know how this works out.

That might just be how she is.She might have a hard time opening up or with trust. She does love you she just is not good at showing it.When she is ready she will.My dog is almost the same way but the minit he is under the weather he comes to me nobody else and he is in that way closer to me.Try some bonding stuff like sleeping right next to her.I sleep in ortho sponges next to my dog on the floor. good luckAlso take her for small rides in the car and stuff .It helps with bonding too.

Do you treat her well and play with her? Maybe she just needs to be trained better. Try using treats to get her to come and praise her with lots of nice words and pet her when she does well. Give her the treat immediately when she gets to you. Decrease the times you give her treats and eventually you won't have to. But always praise her when she follows through. She will learn that it is a good thing to come when called.

I once had a boxer and her coat was all white, she never responded to me. Later I found out that boxers with all white coats can have a problem with being deaf. Maybe your dog is the same.

Make sure you give her treats when she does come over to you. If she even runs away or goes too far away from you when your out and about, don't yell at her when she comes back. She'll just associate coming to you with being in trouble.

Maybe your dog has a hearing problem. I am not kidding. My dog had 2 big tumors in her ear. Talk to your vet about it. Dogs are very loving and loyal.
