I meant to add while you're in public.

I'm talking about the normal itch everyone gets. Come on people with the arrogance.

For those of you who never have to scratch your butt, lucky you.

There's no harm and should certainly be no shame in scratching casually & firmly ones bodily territory wherever that may be !

If your in public and not a "special" function then you've nothing to worry about.

If at that special event then run away quick behind some fake tree or something (& head up & proud now), hidden a bit, give an all over scratchy. If anybody does witness this procedure then you give them a "What?!... I had to... Oh please gimme a break" face.

If I've got an itch I scratch it. Of course I'm pushing 50 years old so I really don't care what people think at this point in life. When I was a 20 something I would have suffered and let it itch. You learn a lot as you grow older.

Greetings. I'm glad you added in Public. Well! remove yourself from the masses and go to the toilets and scratch, or if in a street duck into the nearest ally or somewhere private away from eyes. Then scratch. However if it's intense and doesn't pass I'd get a crab net and go find those little crabs you're carrying or beat out the thrush ( a kind of bird) that is nesting. Seriously if it does continue go see the nurse Dr. or pharmacist to get some relief. If just a passing itch then follow the former suggestions.
Ciao

The proper thing to do is wait until u are in a private space like a washroom and scratch that itch.

Try to walk around a corner or someplace you can not be seen and scratch the itch.

just find a restroom and then go and scratch it an if there is not a bathroom then just find a private place where you can scratch it

scratch it... unless you are in a crowd of people then just excuse yourself and find a place where you can be alone for a few seconds while you scratch...
